Drake's Anchorage Resort. With a 124-acre island all to itself, Drake's Anchorage is a study in seclusion. (Mosquito Island, it's called, but don't worry; the name comes from its size.) Rooms and suites are in seaside cottages on stilts; two are autonomous units with kitchens. The restaurant, which serves wonderful food, is a beloved stopover for passing yachtsmen. Even more wonderful are the isolated beaches along this isle's pretty coast; you may well find one all your own. Sailing, windsurfing, and snorkeling gear free; scuba by arrangement. | |||
