This is an extraordinary resort with an incredible beach to enjoy. And it is all--inclusive. Cruise ships have also discovered the serene and peaceful island of Antigua. They dock at St. John, the capital of Antigua. Passenger's can walk from the cruise ship to the shopping district. Jewelry stores like Colombian Emeralds and Little Switzerland have duty free shopping here. In fact, the maximum allotment allowed as exempt from duty is $ 600.00 (US), $ 200.00 higher than St. Thomas and second only to St. Maarten. Cedar Valley Golf Course has an 18-hole course on the island. Halcyon Cove at Dickenson Bay offers the best water sports activities. Reliable Stables offers beach horseback ridding on the island. And Dive Antigua offers an extraordinary scuba diving program. English Harbour on the west coast of Antigua is the most historic town in all the Caribbean. English Harbour is also home for the most renowned yacht regatta in the Caribbean, Antigua Race Week. This event is held at the end of April each year. The history of this island is enchanting.
